Writing wrongs - Manus community says no to detention

On Monday 30 October, Australia's Manus Island Detention Centre will be closed. Power and water will be cut off and food will be stopped.
There are real fears concerning the welfare of both the refugees and the Manus community.
The inmates of the Australian Detention Centre have committed no crime in seeking asylum.
The Manus Islanders are angry, worried, and have not been consulted.
A violent situation is brewing, and many believe that the responsibility lies with Australia.
