An opportunity for you have your say and make a difference in the Pacific
A Review of Australian Broadcasting Services in the Asia Pacific
Do you live on a Pacific Island? Do you come from a Pacific Island? Do you care about people living on Pacific Islands?
Your voice is needed! The Government is undertaking a review of Australian media services in the Asia-Pacific. Please send a message, however short, to the Review and call for a thorough upgrade of the ABC's broadcasting to the Pacific.
With lots of messages from you and your friends the ABC can be set up to provide more programs to the Pacific, including news and current affairs, specialist, environment and children’s programs.
The Review of Australian Broadcasting Services in the Asia Pacific wants to hear from people in Australia and the Pacific. This is your chance to be heard. Your submission need not be long, even a few sentences is valuable. The more perspectives the Review receives the better. A link to the submission portal is here: https://www.communications.gov.au/have-your-say/review-australian-broadcasting-services-asia-pacific
In your message, ask for a partnership model based around more collaboration with Pacific journalists and communities.
Your message can remind the review that the ABC could also contribute much more to emergency and disaster response in the Pacific.
It is important that the voice from the region and the diaspora communities is loud.
